 Nancy D'AlbergariaDevelopment Director 970-350-0818 nancy.dalbergaria@kunc.org I have been a member of KUNC for as long as I can remember, actually since 1993. I can’t imagine my life without KUNC. My journey to employment here has been interesting. I started my volunteer involvement with the station by answering phones during the on-air drives. From there I joined the Community Advisory board. I was president of the Advisory Board in February 2001, when UNC decided to sell the station license. I served as President of Friends of KUNC helping to raise the $2M to purchase the community license. I then served on the Corporate Board of Directors for 5 years. For two years, I was not actively involved with KUNC, but I was still an avid listener and of course a member. When I learned about the opening for the Development Director, I knew I had to apply. My first month as Development Director was a challenge to say the least. I had a staff person resign the first week, went to a weeklong training the second week, tried to learn two jobs the third week, and experienced my first on-air drive the fourth week. Needless to say, I hit the ground running and haven’t stopped since. When I’m not trying to raise more money for the station, I spend time with my husband. With two college-aged children and an empty nest, we find we still enjoy each other’s company. I love to watch college football, especially the Wyoming Cowboys. Go Pokes! |
