News Director
Community Radio for Northern Colorado, KUNC-FM in Greeley is seeking a News Director to manage growing news staff.  The News Director works with management and staff developing local news reporting, while maintaining KUNC’s mission and core values.  The successful candidate should be familiar with best practices in public radio news reporting.  The position is responsible for story assignments; editing reporters and commentators; scheduling news hosts; participating in on-air fundraising; departmental budget.

Experience:  Five years in news reporting or production with extensive writing and producing feature length news reports. Public radio journalism experience is helpful.  Use of digital audio equipment and editing is required.

Education: College degree in journalism or related field or equivalent in training or experience preferred. 

This is a great opportunity for the right person to join a successful news team.  KUNC covers much of Colorado’s Front Range from Denver north as well as mountain towns and resort areas and portions of the state’s Eastern Plains.  Salary DOE with exceptional benefits.
