A childhood dream of mine was to be involved with radio broadcasting. Now that I am a big kid it pleases me greatly to be involved with one of the nation's premier NPR radio stations.
As a broadcast journalism major at the University of Nebraska at Omaha, I looked forward to the day I would complete my studies and go on to a career in broadcasting. It was during my first radio job that management noticed I was rather handy with a soldering iron and could actually fix things! In an effort to stay employed, I decided I would develop my on-air skills as well as my technical skills. I came to Greeley in 1979 and have been employed as both an on-air talent and a broadcast engineer at commercial stations here and in Cheyenne.
I started at KUNC in May of 2000 and really enjoy working with such a talented and dedicated staff. But mostly I love the way our listeners support such a worthwhile endeavor. The future holds many challenges. Together, we'll make KUNC better than ever!
