Investigators Determine Cause of Estes Park Fire

Larimer County officials say they have determined the cause of the Woodland Heights fire. The Estes Park Trail Gazette reports that investigators believe a power line rubbing against a tree during gusty winds caused the blaze, which is now fully contained.

Forest Service Chief Says There's Enough Resources to Fight Wildfires

Fire fighters with the U.S. Forest Service are currently on the front lines of thousands of wildfires burning in Colorado and across the country. In fact there are between 100 and 150 new starts each day. Forest Service Chief Tom Tidwell is the man overseeing the firefighting efforts.

Multiple Colorado Fires Prompt 'Area Command Team' Activation
