Ken Broeffle
Director of Engineering & Information TechnologyEmail: ken.broeffle@kunc.org
As CRNC’s director of engineering & information technology, I am the guy who keeps all things technical up and running for KUNC and The Colorado Sound. My duties include our on-air studios, news and production facilities, streaming audio, computer systems and IT support along with an extensive cluster of broadcast transmitter sites.
My father started in radio as a news director when I was six years old. I got the “radio bug” while in college and have stayed in the industry ever since.
I bring to CRNC an established hands-on expertise of broadcast technical operations, project management, new technologies and determining valuable solutions to problems and challenges. My background includes VP/Regional Engineer for Citadel Communications, Director of Engineering for CBS Radio Portland and Director of Engineering for Clear Channel Radio Seattle.
I am a member of the Society of Broadcast Engineers and SBE Mentor Program.
Electronics and sound are my hobby, which makes my career tremendously enjoyable. I spend my personal time with my wife, family, friends and our home in Greeley. I enjoy taking adventure road trips, catching a movie or cooking a steak on the grill!
