I’ve has always been fascinated with radio, from competing in the 'radio broadcasting' category for my middle school forensics team, to DJ'ing a late night college radio show at Lawrence University in Appleton, Wisconsin where I earned my Political Science degree. 

Most recently I was the Public Affairs/ News Manger at KUVO FM as well as the local Denver host of PRI’s “The Takeaway” [a morning news show]. I started my career as an Assistant Producer for the multi-award winning Kelly, Mudflap and JoJo Morning Show on KYGO FM.

I’ve covered many local events including the Windsor, CO tornado, the 2008 Democratic National Convention, and the 2010 Four Mile Canyon fire.

Denver’s 10th Circuit Court of Appeals Begins Hearing Same-Sex Marriage Cases

The 10th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals in Denver is hearing oral arguments Thursday over a federal court’s December ruling that Utah’s ban on same-sex marriage is unconstitutional. It’s one of two cases the three-judge panel will hear regarding same-sex marriage bans in the coming weeks.

Extending marriage to same-sex couples in Colorado could add an estimated $50 million in spending to the state and local economy and $3.7 million in tax revenue according to a study. Currently, Colorado bans same-sex marriage, offering civil unions in their stead.

Boston Beer, Sierra Nevada and New Belgium continue to have a hold on the craft beer market. The Fort Collins icon sits at number 3 on the top 50 U.S. Craft Brewing Companies based on sales volume. It’s not just the brewers of Fat Tire, five other Colorado beer makers can be found on the Brewers Association’s annual list.
