After Delay, State Lawmakers Reach Budget Deal

House and Senate leaders have reached a deal on a roughly 7 billion dollar budget after weeks of tense negotiations that practically ground the state capitol to a halt.

But both sides eventually agreed to a compromise.KUNC's State Capitol reporter Bente Birkeland has more.

Bente Birkeland has been reporting on state legislative issues for KUNC and Rocky Mountain Community Radio since 2006. Originally, from Minnesota, Bente likes to hike and ski in her spare time.
