Computer Glitch Opens Closed Grocery's Doors

STEVE INSKEEP, host:

Good morning. I'm Steve Inskeep with the story of a New Zealand grocery store with a mind of its own. On Good Friday a computer problem affected the shop's security system. The store was supposed to be closed for the holiday, but the computer turned on the lights and unlocked the doors. Police were called after witnesses saw people helping themselves to truckloads of groceries, although a dozen honest customers paid in the self-checkout line.
