Dec 7, 2018

A look at inventor, artist, scientist and philosopher Leonardo da Vinci is coming to the Denver Museum of Nature & Science.

The exhibit “Leonardo da Vinci: 500 Years of Genius” will feature da Vinci’s design notes and sketches that paved the way for inventions like the helicopter, the submarine, scuba gear and the military tank. In addition, more than 70 models will explore how his scientific and artistic principles continue to impact the world today.

The show’s “Secrets of Mona Lisa” display will feature an analysis of the iconic Louvre painting conducted by scientific engineer Pascal Cotte, including a 360-degree replica.

“500 Years of Genius” opens March 1, 2019.
