Colorado forest products manufacturers are gathering in Golden tomorrow for a two-day marketing conference. The goal is to discuss how businesses can better promote their products and services—everything from furniture to lumber.
“The conference is designed to help businesses highlight what is unique about their businesses and the products they produce,” said Amanda Bucknam, education and outreach coordinator for the Colorado State Forest Service, which is hosting the event in Golden. “If it’s blue stain, if it’s coming off an area that needs restoration, we want them to be able to highlight that and sell it to consumers.”
Buckman says Colorado forest products companies are increasingly competing against out-of-state companies for customers.
Colorado State Forest Service launched a products database last month to connect consumers with about 130 businesses statewide.
