Gas Prices Dropping In Colorado, Sandy Not Expected To Be A Price Factor

As the East Coast begins to assess the damage left in Hurricane Sandy’s wake, gas prices along the Eastern Seaboard could be affected if there is a disruption in supply.

Little, if any, impact would be felt in western states like Colorado says Patrick DeHaan with GasBuddy.com.

“When a problem occurs in one region, the price increase or any price fluctuations tend to stay in that one region. You know think of the Great Wall of China, it’s going to be hard for those issues to jump the fence.”

Gas prices have fallen by nearly a dime in Colorado since last week, and DeHaan says they should remain relatively steady for the foreseeable future.
