Sunday evening (7/10),Michael Christie leads the Colorado Music Festival Chamber Orchestra in a performance of Eight Seasons, comprised of both Vivaldi's and Piazzolla's "Four Seasons." While each piece stands fervently on its own, when combined each work is immensely magnified. As described by violinist and conductor Gidon Kremer, Eight Season allows you to "enter a world in which you don't think any more about the glamour of the music or music-making," but think of "the cause of music as a language, music as something that is electrifying, as something that reminds us of being alive." 7:30p at Chautauqua Auditorium in Boulder
