Celebrations of chocolate, gardens, music, dance and more along Colorado's Front Range and in the mountains.

Celebrate the 5th Annual Chocolate Festival today and tomorrow  (5/11 & 12) at the Denver Merchandise Mart 4-9 on Friday, May 11th, Saturday, May 12th, 10-6.  Chocolate Candy, Chocolate Fountains, Cakes, Cookies, Truffles, Fudge, Brownies, Toffees, Coffees and so much more! 

Boulder Chamber Orchestra  Presents Mastery featuring, John King on Trumpet tonight at Boulder’s First congregational church at 7:30.  The program will include works of Rossini, Hummel and Mendelssohn.

It’s World Music Night Azra at the Tuft Theatre at Denver’s Swallow Hill Music Hall  starting at 8. Azra’s performances illuminate an inner world forever marked by the war in the Former Yugoslavia, and her immigrant life in the United States.

Boulder's Upstart Crow Theatre Company presents The Merry Wives of Windsor by William Shakespeare. This lively comedy is one of Shakespeare's funniest, with many memorable characters & absurd scenarios. Running until next Saturday (5/19) at Boulder’s Dairy Center for the Arts.

Lemon Sponge Cake Contemporary Ballet brings the World Premiere Of Scarlet  to Boulder’s Dairy Center for the Arts tomorrow and Sunday.  Experience searingly authentic movement exploration, brave experimentation and expressive kinesthetic language.  8:00 tomorrow evening and a 2:00 matinee on Sunday.

Greeley’s Centennial Village is opening its “new” for another year of exciting historical encounters. Tomorrow’s opening day includes many special experiences and activities. Help tend the animals, dip candles, bake bread or rope and brand like a cowboy. Also enjoy pony rides and covered wagon rides; all starting at 10 tomorrow morning.

Enjoy the 5th Annual Steamboat Home & Garden Expo tomorrow (5/12) at The Steamboat Grand from 10:00am-2:00pm. Over 30 booths displaying all you need for your home or garden! Great prize giveaways!

Tomorrow night (5/12), Ballet Nouveau Colorado’s Student Company is proud to present the world premiere Madeline Stands Tall, a beautiful story about being a true friend and creating a happy, loving community. The Boulder Ballet performs the classic tale of Cinderella, which comes to life onstage in a performance joined by select students of the Boulder Ballet School, set to Sergei Prokofiev's magnificent score, at 11am and 2pm  at the Boulder theater on Sunday.

Sunday- Mishawaka's Opening Weekend Mother's Day Lovefest Features: The Wood Brothers, Boulder-bred masters of a unique roots-inflected blend of blues, folk, and rock and...Paper Bird, purveyors of joyful sounds...The Constitution all starting at 5pm.

The GrandMothers of Invention--an authentic live version of the Mothers of Invention From Zappa's mid to late 70's Mothers bands, the GrandMothers are touring the world and keeping Zappa's music alive. Performed by Zappa/Mothers of Invention alumni who have been consistently performing the music of the maestro since 2003.  Sunday night at the Boulder Theatre at 8:00

Swallow Hill presents Ukefest,  celebrating the instrument of the people for 3 days of concerts and workshops, May 17-19th, including: The Heavy Metal Uke: Open Stage & Jam. May 17, Wynkoop Brewing Company, Workshop and concert with Jake Shimabukuro with The Quiet American, May 18, Oriental Theater, Workshops, open stage, master classes, and more, capped by an evening concert with Nellie McKay, Aldrine Guerrero, Tina and Her Pony, Hapa Hillbillies, The Denver Uke Community and more, May 19, L2 Arts & Culture Center.

The Colorado Wind Ensemble and Arvada Chorale are thrilled to present Carl Orff's spectacular masterpiece, Carmina Burana, in two performances in Parker and Lakewood next weekend.  Friday night (5/18) hear the masterpiece in a 7pm performance  Friday night at the Parker Arts, Culture & Events (PACE) Center, and Saturday night(5/19), a 7:30 performance at the Lakewood Cultural

 Lynn Patrick will be performing with bassist Chris Engleman and percussionist/drummer Christian Teele at Nissi's, Sunday, May 20th, 7:30-9:30pm, playing songs from Lynne’s new CD, "Fire Mountain." Most of the songs on this CD were inspired after the Four Mile Canyon fire, back in September 2010.
