Swallow Hill presents Ukefest,   celebrating the instrument of the people for 3 days of concerts and workshops, Thursday May 17-19th, including: The Heavy Metal Uke: Open Stage & Jam. May 17, Wynkoop Brewing Company, Workshop and concert with Jake Shimabukuro with The Quiet American, May 18, Oriental Theater, Workshops, open stage, master classes, and more, capped by an evening concert with Nellie McKay, Aldrine Guerrero, Tina and Her Pony, Hapa Hillbillies, The Denver Uke Community and more, May 19, L2 Arts & Culture Center. 

It is the third Friday  of the month and Beatles tribute band, The Fab 4, will kick off the fifth-annual Art Night Out season in Downtown Lafayette tonight  Enjoy artists booths, an art walk, children’s activities, demonstrations,  and a beer garden.  The fun starts at 4 and goes till 9.  As part of Art Night Out, Willie Hammond will be performing at Tutti’s on South Public Road from 6-9.

Boulder Symphony, the Community Orchestra of Boulder County presents their final concert of the 2011-2012 season, “Brahms Requiem” at 7:00 pm Friday, May 18th at First Presbyterian Church, Boulder, and Saturday, May 19th at Bethany Lutheran Church, Cherry Hills Village. Upstart Crow Theatre closes their run of Shakespeare’s The Merry Wives of Windsor at Boulder’s Dairy Center for the arts tomorrow night—two chances to see it – tonight and tomorrow night at 7:30 

The Colorado Wind Ensemble and Arvada Chorale are thrilled to present Carl Orff's spectacular masterpiece, Carmina Burana, in two performances in Parker and Lakewood next weekend.  Friday night (5/18) hear the masterpiece in a 7pm performance  Friday night at the Parker Arts, Culture & Events (PACE) Center, and Saturday night(5/19), a 7:30 performance at the Lakewood Cultural Center.

Tomorrow from 1-3pm you can make a mural for Greeley’s Lincoln Park Library! Each participant or family will be given a small section of the mural to paint your section using whatever technique you like. The finished pieces will be reassembled and displayed at the library for the next year. No experience necessary. Supplies provided. Children under 10 must be accompanied by an adult. 970-506-8460

Saturday and Sunday (519-20), enjoy great music and art at Estes Park’s 22nd Annual Jazz Fest And Art Walk at Performance Park, on the west end of downtown. Featuring Louis Hayes and The New York Quartet tomorrow at 2:30 and world famous jazz vocalist, Kevin Mahogany, takes the stage at 2:40. 

 Lynn Patrick will be performing with bassist Chris Engleman and percussionist/drummer Christian Teele at Nissi's, on Sunday (5/20), 7:30-9:30pm, playing songs from Lynne’s new CD, "Fire Mountain." Most of the songs on this CD were inspired after the Four Mile Canyon fire, back in September 2010.

Join the Boulder Bach Festival for their 31st Season Gala Benefit Concert and Reception an intimate recital followed by an elegant reception next Thursday (5/24) starting at 6:30 at Boulders First Congregational Church featuring  Bach’s Fantasia in G Major and more.  Then enjoy an elegant reception Mezzanine, Hotel Boulderado at 7:30 pm
