German Chancellor Is 'Forbes' Most Powerful Women

DAVID GREENE, host:

And our last word in business today is the mighty Merkel. Forbes has a new list out of the world's most powerful women, and German Chancellor Angela Merkel is at the top.

In the number two spot, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton. Pop Diva Lady Gaga and IMF chief Christine Lagarde are also in the mix.

Here's one measure of power: Forbes says the 100 women on their list control a collective $30 trillion.
