Saying that "our continuing joint investigation has revealed the person previously considered a 'person of interest' [is now] a possible 'suspect' in the investigation," the FBI Denver Joint Terrorism Task Force has released three more photos of the man authorities want to question about a pipe bomb found in a Colorado shopping mall on Wednesday.
The device was discovered on the 12th anniversary of the deadly rampage at Columbine High School, just two miles from the mall, which is in Jefferson County. Two of that school's students killed 12 of their peers and one teacher before killing themselves. The FBI is treating this week's incident, in which no one was hurt, as a case of potential domestic terrorism.
The photos released today were taken aboard a public bus Tuesday evening, the FBI says. They "show the possible suspect as he rode. ...The bus left north-bound on Wadsworth Blvd. from the Southwest Plaza Mall at approximately 8:30 p.m."
