New This Week on KUNC Music

Two office favorites and a female Americana roots trio step onto the KUNC Music stage this week. Ryan Adams returns from a 3 year hiatus with a strong singer/songwriter effort, Red Molly's new album is out & Wendy couldn't be more excited & Jason Isbell's third outing with the 400 Unit is embraced. Tune in for KUNC Music, 9a - Noon every Monday through Friday.

Red Molly is on tour right now and will be making a visit to Colorado in the Summer of 2012 for the legendary Telluride Americana Music Festival. You don't have to wait that long though, their latest self published effort is entitled Light in the Sky and is out now and available at CDBaby or iTunes. Ryan Adams disbanded the Cardinals and took a break from music for health reasons. The sometimes fiery artist is back and sounds a bit blue, but also comfortable with himself. Ashes & Fire is out your favorite record store on 10/11. Finally, Jason Isbell & The 400 Unit join the KUNC Music collection, Jason's latest is Here We Rest, which came out in August. Jason Isbell is following in the best tradition of Alabama musicians, including his former band The Drive-by Truckers, with an album of bittersweet, but sometimes defiant songs.
