Last week Loveland and Boulder County began spraying, but Fort Collins and Greeley to date have not.

You can  sign up for the City of Fort Collins email notification system which will alert you if and when your area is sprayed. People without Internet access can sign up for phone notifications by calling Colorado Mosquito Control at (970) 663-5697 or (970) 962-2583.

If you live in Boulder County, you can put your property on a no-spray or notification list by signing up here.

According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, pesticides that are used to control mosquitoes "do not pose an unreasonable risk to human health," according to their website. The CDCP urges people who are concerned about exposure to a pesticide "such as those with chemical sensitivity or breathing conditions such as asthma can reduce their potential for exposure by staying indoors during the application period (typically nighttime)."
