Pieta Brown & Carrie Rodriguez: Live @ Swallow Hill

Live @ Swallow Hill is a joint production between Swallow Hill Music and KUNC. Denver’s Swallow Hill has been helping people make and enjoy music since 1979 as a source for roots, folk and acoustic music, including presenting more than 200 performances a year.

Carrie Rodriguez' career was launched in 2001 after getting discovered by Chip Taylor at the South by Southwest Conference. She was invited to tour with him and they collaborated on several albums. Her solo debut came in 2006 with Seven Angels on a Bicycle, her latest release is Love and Circumstance.

Pieta Brown is the daughter of Grammy-nominated folk & blues singer/songwriter Greg Brown. She is being called “one of the best modern songwriters” (Sonic Boomers). I’m not a Colorado native (did you know that "I'm from Missouri" means "I'm skeptical of the matter and not easily convinced?") but I have lived here for most of my life and couldn't imagine leaving. After graduating from Colorado State University, I did what everyone wants to do; I moved to the mountains and skied, hiked, and hid from responsibility! Our listeners in the mountains may know me from my time in Steamboat Springs and Vail or as the voice of the Battle Mountain Huskies Hockey team in Vail.
