Trump Won't Be Setting The Pace At Indy 500

Good morning. I'm Steve Inskeep.

Yesterday, we told you some people were protesting Donald Trump's plan to drive in the Indy 500. He was supposed to drive the pace car - a convertible that leads the field in a kind of parade lap at the start of the race. Now, Trump has withdrawn. He pulled out after talking with speedway officials about the political ramifications of his possible run for president. It is still not clear if Trump was able to produce his long form driver's license.
