Tuna Fish & Peanut Butter Concert Featuring Joy Kills Sorrow

Courtesy of the artist

Boston-based indie folk/bluegrass band Joy Kills Sorrow will headline KUNC’s Tuna Fish & Peanut Butter concert, benefiting the Food Bank for Larimer County and the Weld Food Bank.

This year’s show, set for June 15 at 6:30 p.m., will help to kick off the summer concert season, rather than wrapping it up as it has in previous years. Now in its 27th year, the concert will be held at the Main Plaza of the Promenade Shops at Centerra.

It’s a new setting for the concert, providing a central location that allows for the all the family fun the concert is known for, as well as allowing for some additional amenities including convenient parking, food and beer sales, and more.

Admission to the show is free, but a voluntary donation of $10 is suggested. A $10 donation provides 40 meals for families in Northern Colorado. Non-perishable food items will also be accepted. You can RSVP for the show, and help spread the word by inviting your friends on the Tuna Fish & Peanut Butter Facebook event page.

Presenting sponsors include Home State Bank, Associates in Family Medicine, Family Physicians of Greeley, Berklee College of Music, and Poudre Pet and Feed Supply.

As Director of Community Engagement for KUNC & The Colorado Sound, I look for ways to bring the programs and personalities you hear on the radio “out of the box” to engage and interact in live settings.
