A new Denver Post poll is showing that 51 percent of likely voters support Amendment 64 compared to 40 percent opposed. The Regulate Marijuana Like Alcohol Act would legalize small amounts of marijuana for people over 21. But polling on this and other so- called “hard issues” isn’t as reliable as you might think compared to polls on topics like abortion.

After some drama last week – Colorado’s election ballot is finally set. Of the three statewide questions facing voters – one is largely a symbolic measure, another was referred by the legislature and the third seeks to legalize possession of small amounts of marijuana.

The campaign to legalize marijuana is suing to prevent the state from printing the blue book as it’s currently written. The blue book is written as an impartial guide for voters, but last week lawmakers stripped some of the key arguments in favor of legalizing marijuana.
