Denver Voters to Decide Paid Sick Leave Initiative

One of the fiercest campaign battles in this fall's elections in Colorado is about paid sick leave in the city of Denver. Initiative 300 would require all businesses to give their workers paid sick days. Colorado Public Radio’s Eric Whitney has a look at the arguments on both sides.

President Pushes Jobs Package in Denver

Denver was the last stop on President Barack Obama’s western tour to raise money for his re-election campaign and promote his new jobs plan. The President spoke to several thousand people at a largely Hispanic high school in southwest Denver on Tuesday. KUNC’s state capitol reporter Bente Birkeland has more.

President Obama got a mostly warm reception in southwest Denver on Tuesday where he spoke to a crowd of students and many supporters at Abraham Lincoln High School.  Many analysts and even residents of the predominately Latino neighborhoods around the school saw the choice as strategic.
