EdNews: Teacher Evaluation Rules Approved

The State Board of Education Wednesday approved regulations that will govern evaluation of principals and teachers. These regulations are under the landmark 2010 law requiring annual reviews and that at least 50 percent of evaluations be based on student academic growth.

Colorado Eligible for Round 3 Race to the Top Funds

The U.S. Department of Education announced today that Colorado will be one of nine states eligible to compete for $200 million in school grant money this year. This will be the state’s third try competing for so-called Race to the Top funds.
