A proposed ban on medical marijuana dispensaries in Fort Collins continues to lead in the polls-- 53 to 47 percent. A final count is expected after 5 p.m. today. Regardless of the outcome, the state’s largest union is already promising to continue its fight to legalize medical marijuana.
Denver voters were asked to decide if business should be required to offer mandatory sick leave to their workers. Initiative 300 was endorsed by labor unions and restaurant workers – but not by owners and business interests. And in the end voters overwhelmingly said “no”. Vote counting ended early in Fort Collins Tuesday night due to inclement weather. At 10 pm, Question 300 was leading in the preliminary elections results. That left proponents declaring victory – and opponents waiting until a final vote count.
