FEMA Reimburses State Forest Service For Fourmile, Reservoir Fires

The Federal Emergency Management Agency announced Wednesday it’s reimbursing the state for 75% of the cost of the 2010 Fourmile Canyon and Reservoir road fires.

Four Mile Canyon Documentary Premieres Tonight on Colorado Public Television

A new documentary airing on local public television tonight tells the story of seven mountain residents who defied evacuation orders and battled last year’s Four Mile Canyon Fire near Boulder, ultimately helping save scores of homes from the state’s most destructive wildfire.

Events Marking One Year Anniversary of Fire Planned

169 homes were destroyed in last September's Four Mile Canyon fire, making it the most destructive wildfire in Colorado history.

Spring Rain Increases Flood Danger in Four Mile Canyon Burn Area

Boulder County officials are in “wait and see” mode as a spring storm brings rain and snow to the area burned by last September’s Four Mile Canyon wildfire. The moisture is welcome in many parts of the Front Range but it could trigger mudslides and other problems in the burn area.
