4th Congressional District Congressman Representative Cory Gardner hits the road tomorrow to meet with Colorado wheat producers. The Republican says the tour of seven counties along the eastern plains is an opportunity to discuss policy – as well as this year’s crop – which Gardner says benefited from recent spring rains.
Agriculture officials say Colorado’s winter wheat crop is improving. For the first time this spring, about two-thirds of the winter wheat crop is rated in fair to good condition, according to the latest Colorado Crop Progress report from the U.S. Department of Agriculture.
