STEVE INSKEEP, host:
Good morning. I'm Steve Inskeep.
People criticize the postal service, but they do deliver anywhere cheap. Granted, they can lose track of a letter like the one mailed to Ms. R.T. Fletcher, postmarked August 9, 1944. She was at a Red Cross hospital at Camp Roberts, California. Sixty-seven years later the letter was found and delivered. The hospital is gone, so the letter went to the Camp Roberts Museum. To protect privacy, the curator decline to open it.
