Ozzy, Sharon Osbourne Pay Tax Debt

And our last word business today is 1040x.

That's the form you send to the IRS when you've made a mistake on your tax return. It looks like John Osbourne will need that one. He's also known is Ozzy, and his wife is Sharon. Yes, we're talking about that Ozzy and Sharon Osbourne.

The IRS reportedly filed a $1.7 million lien for taxes the celebrity couple allegedly did not pay in 2008 and 2009. Sharon told gossip blogger Perez Hilton yesterday that the couple did immediately pay off the tax debt after learning about it. She also posted a mea culpa on Twitter saying quote, "You have to be on top of your own business affairs." Later, she seemed to blame the accountant. She tweeted, just because you're paying someone doesn't mean they're doing the job correctly.

And that's a warning, and the business news, on MORNING EDITION, from NPR News.

(Soundbite of song, "Over the Mountain")
