What Do You Do During A Snowstorm? Go For A Bike Ride Of Course

Sunday brought some much needed snow to the Front Range and in Colorado we're not ones to let an opportunity slip by.

It's a special opportunity at that this year. Snow has been hard to come by since the snowpack has been below average [.pdf]. How much do we like the snow and our bikes?

First of all, there's the existence of Winter Bike to Work Day. Second? Denver's Brett Stakelin put this video up on YouTube Sunday showing off the snow found in the Mile High city and the chance to go out and pedal in it.

We also award extra points for the frozen beard. It's a nice touch.

I’m not a Colorado native (did you know that "I'm from Missouri" means "I'm skeptical of the matter and not easily convinced?") but I have lived here for most of my life and couldn't imagine leaving. After graduating from Colorado State University, I did what everyone wants to do; I moved to the mountains and skied, hiked, and hid from responsibility! Our listeners in the mountains may know me from my time in Steamboat Springs and Vail or as the voice of the Battle Mountain Huskies Hockey team in Vail.
