This weekend, you can go fly a kite - literally. There’s a festival in Fort Collins dedicated to the art of making - and flying - kites. Looking for a slightly more high-tech version of fun? How about a convention dedicated to vintage video games?
Yes, in this comparison Ms. Pac-Man on an Atari 2600 could be considered “high-tech.” Relatively speaking, anyway.
This annual Fort Collins Kites in the Park Festival celebrates professional and amateur kite enthusiasts. No kite? No problem. Make your own at the kite-making station. In 2015, more than 8,000 people participated. 2016 will again feature kites that do battle as well ballet. Free parking will be offered at Hughes Stadium along with a shuttle to the park.
