Northern Colorado will host the first-ever Net Zero Cities symposium this week. The event will focus on sharing resources and ideas to develop net-zero energy, carbon and waste communities.

The conference has roots in the Green Summit, which the Northern Colorado Business Report presented for the past several years. Now, publisher Jeff Nuttall says the event is evolving into something even bigger:

“Ft. Collins is really taking the international stage this month to promote innovation in energy, renewables and cutting-edge green technologies.”

Nuttall says business leaders, academic professionals and city officials from around the world, including India, Denmark and Japan will be in Fort Collins for the two-day Net Zero Cities conferencethat kicks off Tuesday, Oct. 16.

As the host of KUNC’s new program and podcast In the NoCo, I work closely with our producers and reporters to bring context and diverse perspectives to the important issues of the day. Northern Colorado is such a diverse and growing region, brimming with history, culture, music, education, civic engagement, and amazing outdoor recreation. I love finding the stories and voices that reflect what makes NoCo such an extraordinary place to live.
