Minimum Wage Goes Up in Colorado

Colorado’s minimum wage earners will make an extra 14 cents per hour starting January 1st.

Wages will increase to $4.76 for tipped workers and $7.78 for non-tipped employees.

“It’s about $300.00 a year for affected workers. And it will be about 66-thousand workers affected in the state ofColorado,” says Colorado Jobs With Justice director Joe Thompson.

Colorado is one of nine states set to raise the minimum wage for 2013.
