State Primary Elections Results
Colorado’s primary election pitted a former governor, John Hickenlooper, against a former speaker of the state house, Andrew Romanoff, in a bid to compete against Sen. Cory Gardner for an open senate seat in Washington, D.C. We now know that Hickenlooper will be the candidate to take on Gardner in November. But that wasn’t the only race decided in Tuesday’s primary. Kyle Saunders, a political science professor at Colorado State University joined us to discuss takeaways and one rather surprising result.
Checking In On Colorado’s Brewing Industry
Colorado bars and nightclubs have been ordered by the state to re-close. But the hospitality industry is more than just bars. It also includes the places that make the beer they sell: breweries.
We spoke to Bart Watson, chief economist with the Brewer’s Association, about the state of Colorado’s brewing industry.

Farmers markets across the region are in full swing for summer, but the experience feels a little different this year. Denise Mickelsen, food editor for 5280 Magazine, joined us with more about why many people feel they’re more than important than ever and how some restaurants are participating. A Changing Of The Seasons
If you’re tired of being bombarded by miller months every time you turn on a light or open a door, you’re in luck. We are close to the end of moth season and can look forward to a new insect that’s much prettier to look at: monarch butterflies. Our summer science fellow, Seré Williams, joined us to explain the changing of the season.
