This Time, You Can Hear Her Finish The National Anthem

It just may make your day a little better. As you'll see and hear, 8-year-old Elizabeth Hughes was doing a great job singing The Star-Spangled Banner last week at a Norfolk (Va.) Admirals minor league hockey game when the microphone cut out with about 30 seconds to go.

And then ... the crowd comes to life and joins in. It's a nice moment. The video has "gone viral," as they say:

Today, All Things Considered's Michele Norris spoke with Elizabeth, who says she was disappointed about what happened "because I didn't get to sing my high note":
