Bundle Up: 40 States Will Be Frigid Today And Wednesday

Last week, it was another blizzard.

Now, it's "just" some of the coldest weather so far this winter.

As USA Today writes, "a blast of arctic air ... is poised to pour across the central, southern and eastern USA today and Wednesday. More than 150 million people across 40 states will endure below-average temperatures this week, Weather Channel meteorologist Chris Dolce said."

We're talking temperatures near or below zero tonight over nearly all of the "lower 48", the National Weather Service says.

There's also going to be some snow. "Cities such as Denver, Colorado Springs, Santa Fe, Garden City, Wichita, Amarillo, Oklahoma City, Tulsa, and Little Rock will all see a decent snowfall out of this storm system," Weather.com forecasts.
