Lucinda Williams live in concert from 2009 in Baltimore, MD

A quick check of the Lucinda Williams' tour page shows this: "No Shows Are Currently Scheduled". That is going to change.

Amongst some other dates in Austin, TX, Columbia, MD and Boulder, Lucinda Williams will be Live at the Lincoln Center on Friday, July 20th - presented by Swallow Hill Music. Tickets will go on sale on 5/5 at Noon at www.LCTix.com.

Her latest album, Blessed, released last year on Lost Highway features guests like Matthew Sweet and Elvis Costello - and a more focused sound that centers on her lyrics. The time tested twin tandems of Love and Loss are on display, especially on the deeply personal "Copenhagen".

Asking the question 'Blessed, what does it mean to you?' is a part of the album, not just its title. It also alludes to acceptance of what happiness you can find in life. As she told, Austin360.com:

"I feel very blessed at this time in my life. You want to feel that way by the time you get to be (my age). I just turned 58, and my perspective is certainly different than when I was 48 or 38. I think (my) songs reflect where I am at any given time. This album is more reflective, more mature."

I’m not a Colorado native (did you know that "I'm from Missouri" means "I'm skeptical of the matter and not easily convinced?") but I have lived here for most of my life and couldn't imagine leaving. After graduating from Colorado State University, I did what everyone wants to do; I moved to the mountains and skied, hiked, and hid from responsibility! Our listeners in the mountains may know me from my time in Steamboat Springs and Vail or as the voice of the Battle Mountain Huskies Hockey team in Vail.
