Yesterday, we brought you reporting about the two statewide ballot measures that Colorado voters will see this election: Proposition CC and Proposition DD.

Today, we're going to dive into some of the local issues on ballots across Northern Colorado, issues that range from questions about marijuana to taxes.

Kevin Bommer, executive director of the Colorado Municipal League joins us to break-down some of the local issues that will be on the ballot.

Balloon Boy Hoax, 10 Years Later

Ten years ago today, a balloon that took off from Fort Collins captivated the nation.

After launching a weather balloon into the sky, Richard and Mayumi Heene were not able to track down their six-year-old son, Falcon. The concern was that he had climbed into the balloon before it took off.

Authorities were called, and people around the country, and the world, watched the balloon fly south from Fort Collins. The balloon landed 12 miles from Denver International Airport, and when authorities approached it, the boy was nowhere to be found. As it turns out, Falcon was hiding in the attic above the family's garage the whole time.

Robert Sanchez, a senior staff writer for 5280 Magazine and author of the article, "The Balloon Boy Hoax - Solved!" joined us to talk about the impact of the hoax, 10 years later.

This is an extended version of the interview aired in the episode of Colorado Edition that was released on Wednesday, October 14
