Lon Chaney starred in the 1925 silent film 'Phantom of the Opera.'

Whether you like your movies with silent operas or screaming guitars, we’ve got you covered.

For those of you who missed comedian David Cross in March, he’s back and in Fort Collins, ready to skewer everything from politics to the holidays to hipsters…

The Denver Silent Film Festival celebrates the early days of movies with some real classics including Ben-Hur: A Tale of the Christ and The Phantom of the Opera, as well as some lesser-known rarities, like The Blot and A House Divided -- both of which were directed by women. Music will be provided by some of the genre’s most accomplished silent film accompanists, including Rodney Sauer, Hank Troy, Donald Sosin and Joanna Seaton.

Denver Silent Film Festival, April 29-May 1, 2016, Alamo Drafthouse Cinema, Littleton. Individual show tickets $5-$15; festival passes $50-$99

While you may know comedian David Cross best from Mr. Show and Arrested Development, his start began on the stand-up circuit. Now he’s back on the stage and bringing his “Making America Great Again Tour!” to Fort Collins.
