WATCH: Former FBI Director James Comey Testifies On Russia

FBI
FBI Director James Comey addresses the media during a press briefing regarding the mass shooting at nightclub in Orlando, Florida.

KUNC is carrying special coverage of the Senate Intelligence Committee's hearing with James Comey, former director of the FBI. Coverage will begin at 8 a.m. MT and continue until the hearing ends at approximately 11 a.m. Additionally, a live video feed is available here.

Comey was fired May 9 amid an investigation into Russian involvement with the 2016 election and potential collusion between Russia and the Trump administration. Statements released from White House staff stated that several factors played into his firing -- notably an assessment from the deputy attorney general. But Trump said in an interview two days later that he was going to fire Comey regardless and had been planning to for "a while."

The hearing before the Senate Intelligence Committee will be the first time Comey has spoken publicly since his firing.
