School board races across the county are heating up ahead of the November election, as issues like COVID-19 vaccines, mask mandates and teaching about race in American history classes are resulting in highly contentious, often protested, meetings. Chalkbeat Colorado’s Erica Meltzer tells us how this is playing out in Colorado.

Election Day is fast approaching, and one ballot measure voters will be considering is Proposition 119, which would fund new tutoring programs for students. KUNC’s Scott Franz tells us more about this proposal and how it would be funded.

Live music and entertainment have returned to Northern Colorado, but so have mask mandates. Production manager at The Comedy Fort, Dylan Williams, and general manager at the Aggie Theater, Dalton Lantham, tell us how their Fort Collins venues are faring with the new safety guidelines.

Colorado Edition is hosted by Erin O'Toole (@ErinOtoole1) and edited by Henry Zimmerman (@kombuchacowboy). Our production team includes Tess Novotny (@tess_novotny), Alana Schreiber (@ayyschreib) and Rae Solomon (@raedear1). KUNC news director Brian Larson is our executive producer. Web was edited by digital editor Jackie Hai.
