Two Fort Collins residents have filed a complaint alleging Mayor Wade Troxell and Mayor Pro Tem Kristin Stephens unethically participated in a Nov. 5 City Council vote involving the site of the former Hughes Stadium.

The Fort Collins City Council on Tuesday narrowly approved new zoning for the land where the old Hughes Stadium used to stand, leaving the door open to future development on what some residents have called the city’s “crown jewel.”

Students and community leaders gathered for hours in packed student government meeting until early this morning to support a resolution against hate speech.

Students from as far south as Pueblo came to Fort Collins to support the protesters at the meeting after four CSU students posted to social media wearing blackface last week. Protesters filled the room to capacity wearing black and bearing protest signs.

An oil made from hemp flower called cannabidiol, or CBD for short, contains almost no THC and is currently used to treat epilepsy in children. The drug epidiolex was approved by the Federal Drug Administration in 2018.

Now a pilot study conducted at Colorado State University, suggests CBD may do the same for dogs suffering from seizures.

In 1992 nearly half of all dairy farms had fewer than 100 cows. Today, about half of all dairies have at least 1,000 or more cows, according to the U.S. Department of Agriculture.

Larger herds require more workers and as David Douphrate discovered, there are many logistical barriers to training those workers.

“These are 365, 24/7 operations, so it’s very challenging to pull these workers off the job to deliver training,” he said.

Colorado State has named its on-campus football facility Canvas Stadium as part of a $37.7 million partnership agreement.

Canvas Credit Union received the naming rights two months ago for the $220 million multipurpose facility that made its debut last season.
