Grand Family Coalition is a non-profit network of grandparents and other “kinship providers”, families in which children are being raised by family or adults other than their parents. The organization is dedicated to promoting the unity of “kin families” by creating a space where families and services connect.

The Greeley Downtown Development Authority is a nonprofit that works to foster economic development and revitalization within the city’s downtown area.

In 1976, recycler Eco-Cycle made Boulder one of the first 20 communities in the U.S. to offer curbside recycling. Since their inception, they have continued to expand access for members of the community to recycle and have provided education and resources for people to strive for a zero-waste lifestyle.


When a child has difficulty expressing themselves or discerning information it impacts not only developmental and academic skills but social skills as well. The Children’s Speech and Reading Center (CSRC) is a nonprofit in Fort Collins has been helping children thrive for the past 25 years.

For more than 30 years, the Rocky Mountain Raptor Program in Fort Collins has been rescuing and rehabilitating birds of prey. Their goal is to release the raptors back into the wild as well as educate the community about these birds.

“Our mission really is that we want to not only inspire the appreciation but also the protection of raptors and the spaces they live, through excellence in rehabilitation education and research,” said executive director Carin Avila.

ACCESS Housing

ACCESS housing is a nonprofit in Commerce City founded in 1983. Over the last four years board president Ken Hayes and executive director Megan Vizina have created a growing community that gives people a sturdy stepping stone to transition out of homelessness.

Halcyon Hospice and Palliative Care has been providing calming and peaceful care for hospice patients and their families along the Front Range since 2008.

“Halcyon is committed to the standard of excellence in providing sensitive patient centered care to patients and their families,” said director of business development, Chad Hartmann.

Growing Colorado Kids is a nonprofit organization devoted to helping Denver’s refugee youth integrate and thrive in school and community settings for the past 10 years.

“Our mission is to reduce hunger, improve nutrition, and provide experiential learning opportunities for refugee youth through farming,” said cofounder Chris Lines.

For the past 3 years, the first and only diaper bank in Northern Colorado, The Nappie Project, has been “helping little behinds get a little ahead” by distributing diapers to partner agencies in Larimer County.
