STEVE INSKEEP, host:

Good morning. I'm Steve Inskeep.

This is the day in 1761 when an American lawyer famously declared a man's home is his castle. Maybe so, but that doesn't mean you can smoke in it. Harry Lysons was sued by neighbors. Neighbors in the apartment building say his cigar fumes invaded their apartment and made their children sick. Mr. Lyons has agreed not to smoke indoors. If he does, he'll pay the neighbors $2,000. He plans to smoke instead on the street.
