RENEE MONTAGNE, host:

Good morning. I'm Renee Montagne with a story of not-so-subliminal advertising. The Canadian restaurant chain Swiss Chalet is promoting its signature dish. So for the next few months, the Rotisserie Channel will feature two rows of spinning, roasting chickens 24-hours a day. If cable subscribers should tire of chickens, there are other channels offering 24-hour sunsets and fish endlessly circling an aquarium.

It's MORNING EDITION. Transcript provided by NPR, Copyright NPR.
