STEVE INSKEEP, Host:

There is a slow-moving airplane flying over Europe right now. It is going less than 50 miles per hour and it's running on solar power. The single-seat plane took off from Switzerland this morning and is expected to reach Brussels in the early evening. The plane is called the Solar Impulse. It has the wing span of a Boeing 777, which is a pretty big plane, and it has the power of a small motorcycle. Its developers say the goal is to eventually fly the plane around the world.
