Civil Union Measure Clears First Legislative Committee

A bill that would allow civil unions in Colorado cleared its first legislative hurdle on Wednesday. After a lengthy debate, the measure passed the senate judiciary committee on a bi-partisan vote.

But as KUNC’s Bente Birkeland reports, it still faces a long and uncertain future
