You can sum up The Civil Wars' vision by saying “They are about the good, the bad, and the ugly of relationships.”
That's appropriate, considering that the band is on hiatus citing, "internal discord and irreconcilable differences of ambition." That ominous message has resulted in canceled concerts and leaves their future in doubt. It hasn't stopped the release of a self-titled follow up to 2011's Barton Hallow.
Internal discord often results in some very creative results. Here’s hoping they will be back for more.
