Obama Campaign to Distribute Tickets Saturday for Upcoming CSU Event

The White House

President Barack Obama will visit the Colorado State University campus this coming Tuesday, and those wanting to attend will need a ticket.

The Obama for America campaign says it will be giving out tickets for the event at the Lory Student Center Plaza starting at 12 p.m. tomorrow. There are other ticket distribution locations in Loveland, Greeley, south Fort Collins and Firestone. Only one ticket will be given out per person. Tickets will be handed out on a first- come, first-served basis.

Obama is expected to deliver remarks Tuesday on the Monfort Quad at CSU. A press release from the campaign says doors open at 2 p.m., but it does not say what time Obama will appear.

The visit is part of a two-day college tour that will also include campuses in Iowa and Virginia. Discussion of student loans and job creation are expected to be key themes, which Obama highlighted during a visit to the University of Colorado at Boulder campus last April.

Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney visited Northern Colorado last Februaryduring a Loveland event. This summer, he’s campaigned on the Jefferson County fairgrounds, in addition to holding fundraisers in Aspen. He also visited a Colorado Springs food bank aiding victims of the Waldo Canyon Fire.
