The Jayhawks

2012 is shaping up to be a great year to start a tour in Colorado. Longtime alt-country stalwarts The Jayhawks have been on hiatus since 2005. Now they're back with a new album and tour.

Mockingbird Time is out on shelves now and reunites the original lineup that was responsible for those seminal early albums Hollywood Town Hall and Tomorrow the Green Grass. We've come a long way since the critical breakthrough of 92's Hollywood Town Hall, but it seems the time apart and the solo works in between have only made the reunion of Mark Olson (who left The Jayhawks in 1995) and Gary Louris that much more exciting.

There's no better way to celebrate that original lineup reunion than with a taping of eTown. The opening salvo for their 2012 tour is two dates in Colorado; the 1st an eTown show taping along with Justin Townes Earle at the Lincoln Center in Fort Collins. The 2nd is the Ogden Theater in Denver.

Notable Tour Dates:

I’m not a Colorado native (did you know that "I'm from Missouri" means "I'm skeptical of the matter and not easily convinced?") but I have lived here for most of my life and couldn't imagine leaving. After graduating from Colorado State University, I did what everyone wants to do; I moved to the mountains and skied, hiked, and hid from responsibility! Our listeners in the mountains may know me from my time in Steamboat Springs and Vail or as the voice of the Battle Mountain Huskies Hockey team in Vail.
